Encore Weekend Added to 10th Annual Open Studios Art Tour!
This year marks the 10th anniversary of SLO County’s largest visual arts event.
Last year’s tour included more than 280 artists and received media coverage in Sunset magazine, Artweek magazine and other well-known publications. The tour was an unprecedented success.
Artists and attendees spoke (vis a vis written surveys, by phone, and comments on our website) and ARTS Obispo listened! In response we have created a
new and exciting plan to give visitors more time to attend the tour, and artists more opportunities to show work in their studios. The first weekend of
the tour will highlight the North County. The second weekend will highlight the South County. And now, for the first time, a special “encore weekend”
will follow on the third weekend, allowing the tour to continue for Open Studios artists throughout the entire county wishing to stay open for an
additional weekend. Dates for this year’s tour are:
• 1st Weekend of the Tour – October 11 & 12 – North County
To participate in the 2008 Open Studios Art Tour, artists must submit a completed application, digital files, and fees by April 2nd. ***ATTENTION: DEADLINE EXTENDED! We've extended the application deadline to April 9th, with late applications due no later than April 16th.*** This year there will be additional benefits to artists participating in Open Studios. All Open Studios artists will now be included in our Online Visual Artists Directory and will be given the option to receive an Artists' Opportunities email on a regular basis.

Applications now available for the 2008 Open Studios Art Tour! The deadline has been extended one week, but we encourage you to get your applications in as soon as possible so any errors or omissions may be corrected in a timely fashion. All application materials, digital files, and fees are due by the extended April 9th deadline; late applications (due by April 16th) will incur a late fee, or may not be accepted.
